What it does with output it does not control
A model emits a token at a time and is free to emit nonsense. Each of these is a state the component was designed for, held still so it can be read.
Half arrived
An opening tag with no closing one. The payload is withheld and stands in as a placeholder rather than rendering half an activity.
Let's check that you can spot the difference:
Partial tag
The tag is still arriving. Those characters are the start of a component, not prose, so they never reach the reader.
That wraps up how REST endpoints work.
Malformed payload
A closed tag whose JSON is unusable degrades to one muted line. The valid activity after it still hydrates.
Here is the first activity:

Next up: how this maps onto SQL statements.
Component threw
Validation cannot prove a component will not throw. The boundary keeps one broken activity from taking the host app with it.
